Bark To The Park Returns To Saluda Shoals Park

Pawmetto Lifeline will host their annual Bark to the Park event on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Saluda Shoals Park.

Pawmetto Lifeline is excited to be back to an in-person event this year after the past two years’ events were held virtually due to the pandemic.

McDaniels Subaru Bark to the Park is a fundraising event where proceeds directly benefit homeless pets in the Midlands. Pet lovers are encouraged to form a walk team or participate on their own to raise money for the homeless dogs and cats in the Midlands region. A person can also donate if he or she cannot be present on April 23. Interested walkers can pre-register online at www.barktothepark.com.

Walk participants are encouraged to raise donations for the opportunity to win prizes while supporting the mission of Pawmetto Lifeline, a local not-for-profit animal rescue whose mission is to end pet overpopulation in the Midlands. Participants who raise $1,000 or more will be awarded with an embroidered Pawmetto Lifeline sports jacket. In addition, the top 10 fund raisers (team captains or individuals) will be entered into a drawing to win a Yeti Tundra 50 cooler.

Bark to the Park walk registration will begin at 10 a.m. and the fun doesn’t stop until 2 p.m. The walk begins at 11 a.m. where participating walkers and their pets will strut their stuff through beautiful Saluda Shoals Park. This year, you get to choose your distance! We will offer a .5 mile route, 1 mile route and a 2 mile route.

After the walk, participants will enjoy an After-Pawty featuring an extensive line-up of pet-friendly vendors, DJ Marty B, craft beer, food available from Fusco’s, an agility course for your dog to try, performances by K9s in Flight and more! Attendees can participate in canine contests including Best Costume, Best Look-a-Like, and Best Pet Trick.

Bark to the Park will be held at Saluda Shoals Park at 6071 St. Andrews Rd, Columbia, S.C. 29212. For more information, visit www.barktothepark.com.
