Free Yourself Up (2018) saw Lake Street Dive add a fifth member of the band, Akie Bermiss on keys.  The band wrote so prolifically for this album that they even released an EP of extra songs, Freak Yourself Out, in November 2018.  For these recent releases, Lake Street Dive seems more comfortable with their direction.  The album features a large number of bassist Bridget Kearney-penned songs, perhaps yielding the more cohesive vibe of this record.
