1. “Black Adam” (PG-13)
The Rock plays the DC Comics antihero Black Adam. He was imprisoned shortly after getting powers from the Egyptian gods. The movie takes place 5,000 years later in present-day after he’s been freed from his tomb. His form of justice is challenged by a group of heroes called the Justice Society, which includes Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo), Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell from “Voyagers”), Hawkman (Aldis Hodge from “Straight Outta Compton”), and Dr. Fate (Pierce Brosnan).
This rom-com stars George Clooney and Julia Roberts as divorced parents who travel to Bali for their daughter’s wedding to a guy she just met. Their daughter is played by Kaitlyn Dever from “Dopesick”and “Last Man Standing”. George and Julia decide to work together to sabotage the wedding, so their daughter doesn’t make the same mistake they did.
It’s about a pair of lifelong friends played by Colin Farrell and Brendon Gleeson, in a small town in Ireland. Conflict arises when Brendon’s character decides to end their friendship. And leaves Colin’s confused and focused on repairing it. It’s a black comedy-drama and also stars Barry Keoghan from Marvel’s “Eternals” and Kerry Condon from “Better Call Saul”.
