See the New Elton John Movie!

Oh, my goodness! I’m so excited for the new Elton John movie, Rocketman!  It comes out this Friday 5/31/19.

Elton John Says Studios Wanted ‘Rocketman’ To Be PG-13 (HINT:  It’s R)

Rocketman will hit theaters this week, and Elton John says he fought to make sure his life story remained R-rated on the big screen.

In a piece for The Guardian, John said that studios “wanted to tone down the sex and drugs” to get a PG-13 rating.  But Elton pushed back, saying “I just haven’t led a PG-13 rated life”.

John says he “didn’t want a film packed with drugs and sex” but that “everyone knows I had quite a lot of both during the 70’s and 80’s.”
