Teen Hit in the Face by Seagull on Amusement Park Ride
A New Jersey teen celebrating her best friend’s birthday at an amusement park got more than she bargained for when she was assaulted by an uninvited guest while riding the Sling Shot.
Video shows 13-year-old Kiley Holman holding on for dear life as the ride, which is located at NJ’s Morey’s Piers and Beachfront Water Park in Wildwood, shoots her into the air at 75 miles per hour. Suddenly, a large seagull runs right into her face and becomes momentarily lodged in Holman’s harness until she pushes it away, the video reveals.
“I knew there was no going back and it was just going to hit me,” Kiley says. “I didn’t know what to do so I waited for it to spin over. I just grabbed it and threw it off me quick.”
The bird, which flew off, appeared to be uninjured in the collision. As for Holman, she says she’ll never ride the Sling Shot again.
Why do people assume that seagull is okay because it flew away? It took a slingshot propelled teenage girl right in the beak pic.twitter.com/O4HDm5RtN3
