The Year’s Biggest, Brightest Supermoon is Coming

Look! Up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Supermoon!

Monday (tonight!) will mark the arrival of the March supermoon, which occurs when the full moon’s orbit brings it closest to Earth.

Although this year will also bring supermoons in April and May, astronomers say Monday’s will be the biggest and brightest of 2020.

It turns out March is a pretty good month for stargazers. NASA says Mars, Jupiter and Saturn should be visible right before dawn all month.

If you got up before dawn and looked at the sky, would you know which pinpoints of light were Mars, Jupiter and Saturn?

What’s the coolest space event you’ve seen?
