  • My Life Experience: Traveling While Black

    Recently released at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, Traveling While Black takes a closer look at the long history of restricted movement for African Americans as well as the creation of safe spaces in communities. In this immersive and cinematic virtual reality experience, Academy Award-winning director Roger Ross Williams transports you to historic Ben’s Chili Bowl in Washington, D.C. where you share an intimate series of moments and experiences with several patrons.

  • Pearl and Bead Stringing Basics

    Led by our Artist-in-Residence, Allison Cicero Moore, this workshop will focus on the techniques necessary for stringing beads and pearls onto nylon or silk. Workshop participants will complete one hand-strung and knotted bracelet, and they will gain the knowledge and practice needed to successfully complete larger projects, such as necklaces.
