Midlands band, Candy Coffins, recently recorded their EP in Athens, GA, with noted producer David Barbe (Drive-By Truckers, Sugar).  Learning from their years in other bands, they built an album release schedule, including notable live shows and a tour to support the record.

Because of COVID19, none of that happened.

Rather than spiral around the lost opportunities, Jame Lathren takes the long view, looking for the benefits in the unexpected:  more time with family, no need to rush art work, plenty of time to practice.

Lathren joined Sloane Spencer on the Deep Dive by telephone, sharing his excitement for the upcoming record and some words of encouragement while we all bide our time.
