Do you watch awards shows?

Do y’all watch awards shows?  I admit that I’m usually in bed asleep!  I love to scour for video the next day, though.

This recent Grammys was a great example.  Several friends were nominated for the award, which is totally insane to me.  The pre-show awards are usually most interesting and full of folks whose music I like.

This year’s performances stood out.  Dolly Parton is a living legend and wonderful human.  They should have had Margo Price and Brandi Carlile singing with her, though.  Margo slays that song live.

The surprise fabulous performance for me was Janelle Monae.  Her set channeled Prince and Janet Jackson, elevated to a new level.  I thought she was amazing!
